The Tamil Nadu Government is implementing various welfare schemes for the socio-economic and educational advancement of Adi Dravidar and Tribal people. Under the State Government's Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, 98 Adi Dravidar Welfare Higher Secondary Schools and 36 Tribal Welfare Higher Secondary Schools are functioning. Since 2023, special coaching classes have been continuously and systematically conducted to enable students studying in the +2 classes in these schools to succeed in 19 types of higher education entrance examinations such as NEET, JEE, CUET, CLAT, CIPET and NIFT, and gain admission into higher education institutions.
