Additional token/booking slots allotted at all sub-registrar offices to accommodate public requests for document registration on the auspicious day (Subha Muhurtham) falling in the Tamil month of Vaikasi. Since a large number of document registrations take place on days considered auspicious (Subha Muhurtham), additional booking slots are allotted for document registration on such days to accommodate public requests. As the auspicious day (Subha Muhurtham) falling in the Tamil month of Vaikasi, 29.05.2026, is expected to see a high volume of deed registrations, requests have been received from various sections of the public seeking additional booking slots. Accordingly, it has been ordered that on 29.05.2026, the auspicious day in Vaikasi month, offices with a single Sub-Registrar will be allotted 150 booking slots instead of 100, offices with two Sub-Registrars will be allotted 300 booking slots instead of 200, and the 100 offices expecting a high volume of registrations will be allotted 150 regular booking slots instead of 100, along with an additional 4 walk-in booking slots over and above the 12 walk-in slots already provided, for the benefit of the public.
