Applications for first-year undergraduate admissions to government arts and science colleges in Tamil Nadu for the academic year 2026-27 have been under registration on the website www.tngasa.in since 07.05.2026. For the academic year 2026-2027, the 181 government arts and science colleges in Tamil Nadu offer 1,26,959 admission seats (Shift-I: 1,01,022 / Shift-II: 25,937) across 159 subject streams. Students may apply online for their preferred subject streams at their preferred government arts and science colleges. So far, 2,24,034 applications have been received.
Keeping students' welfare in mind, those who missed registering can apply again through the website www.tngasa.in for a two-day window starting 01.06.2026. Guidance regarding admission procedures can be obtained through the website www.tngasa.in.
Students unable to apply online themselves may apply through the Admission Facilitation Centres (AFC) available at all government arts and science colleges.
