CM congratulates senior advocate Sengil Subramani Mohana on Supreme Court judge appointment

Sengila Subramani Mohana on Her Appointment as Judge of the Hon'ble Supreme Court I was extremely delighted to learn that Tmt. Sengila Subramani Mohana, senior advocate from Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu, has been appointed as a new judge of the Hon'ble Supreme Court. She has the distinction of being only the second woman in the history of the Supreme Court to be directly elevated as a judge after serving as a senior advocate, and the first woman from Tamil Nadu to achieve this honour. The appointment of Tmt. Sengila Subramani Mohana will serve as a driving force for the advancement of women's education and economic progress. I extend my heartfelt congratulations, on my own behalf, on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu, and on behalf of the people of Tamil Nadu, to her as she prepares to take charge as a judge of the Hon'ble Supreme Court.
