To facilitate value addition to the pulses produced, a subsidy of 33 percent, up to a maximum of Rs.25 lakh, will be provided in this financial year (2026-27) as well, for setting up pulses processing units under this scheme.
Interested Farmer Producer Organisations, cluster-level federations, nascent agricultural cooperative societies, and individuals from the districts of Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur, Cuddalore, Karur, Villupuram, Kallakurichi, Vellore, Tirupattur, Ranipet, Tiruvannamalai, Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Tiruchirappalli, Ariyalur, Pudukkottai, Thanjavur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Tiruvarur, Madurai, Theni, Dindigul, Ramanathapuram, Sivaganga, Virudhunagar, Tirunelveli, Tenkasi and Thoothukudi are eligible to set up pulses processing units and benefit under this scheme. Accordingly, the Hon'ble Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has requested eligible beneficiaries to approach the District Deputy Director of Agriculture (Agricultural Engineering) by 12.06.2026 to avail this benefit.
