Adi Dravidar Welfare Dept Opens 2026-27 Applications for Overseas Higher Education Scholarship

Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department Anna Ambedkar Overseas Higher Education Scholarship Scheme – Applications invited for the academic year 2026-2027. The Government of Tamil Nadu, through the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, implements the "Anna Ambedkar Overseas Higher Education Scholarship Scheme" to enable students from the Adi Dravidar, converted Christian Adi Dravidar and Tribal communities to pursue higher education abroad. Applications for the academic year 2026-2027 under this scheme are now being invited. Eligibility Conditions: 1. Applicants must have secured admission for a Master's Degree or a Ph.D./Post-Doctoral Research programme in a foreign university ranked within the top 1000 in the QS World University Ranking. 2. Master's Degree: Applicants must not have completed 35 years of age as on 01.04.2026. 3. Ph.D./Post-Doctoral Research: Applicants must not have completed 40 years of age as on 01.04.2026. 4. The annual family income must not exceed Rs.12.00 lakh. 5. Applications will be considered solely on the basis of the QS World University Ranking of the university in which the applicant secures admission. Further, the government orders, guidelines and detailed information relating to this scheme can be found on the website www.tnadw.tn.gov.in. Applicants are requested to read the above details fully before applying. Applications for the academic year 2026-2027 will be accepted only online. Eligible students are requested to apply online along with the required documents between 05.05.2026 and 05.06.2026 through the website https://www.tnadw.tn.gov.in/overseas_scholarship or https://tnadwscholarship.in/. It is informed that applications submitted in person, by post, or after the deadline will not be accepted. Documents required at the time of applying: 1. University Offer/Admission Letter from the foreign university (Conditional / Unconditional) 2. Community Certificate (obtained online) 3. Latest Family Income Certificate (obtained online) 4. Mark sheets for 10th Standard, 12th Standard, Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) courses (if applicable). 5. UG/PG Degree Certificate / Provisional Certificate / Course Completion Certificate 6. Aadhaar Card 7. Ration Card 8. Passport 9. Copy of the applicant's/parent's latest 3 months' pay slip (if applicable) 10. Applicant's/parent's Income Tax Return (ITR) documents (if applicable) 11. UDID Card for persons with disabilities (if applicable) 12. Recent passport-size photograph.
