Hon'ble Minister for Transport, Thiru Vijay Tamilan Parthiban, held a discussion today (07.07.2026) with the Director of the Transport Department regarding complaints received about auto-rickshaws used to ferry schoolchildren. Following the discussion, he issued the following instructions.
Circulars have already been issued by the Transport Department regarding the rules to be followed while transporting schoolchildren in auto-rickshaws.
