Joseph Vijay, the Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered the release of water, not exceeding 20 million cubic feet (inclusive of conveyance losses), from the Thirumoorthy Dam to the Poovarinayakan Lake at Alamapalayam village, Udumalpet taluk, Tiruppur district, from 09.07.2026 to 11.07.2026, for the drinking water needs of the public and livestock.
