CM Witnesses Rs 1,000-Crore Hitachi Energy MoU Creating 1,000 Tech Jobs in Chennai

PRESS RELEASE MoUs signed in the presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru C. Joseph Vijay for the expansion of Hitachi Energy Technology Services Private Limited's facility at Porur, and the production expansion project of Hitachi Energy India at Chengalpattu, expected to bring an investment of Rs. 1,000 crore and generate 1,000 high-quality technology jobs In the presence of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru C. Joseph Vijay, at an event held today (7.7.2026) at the Secretariat by the Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce Department, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed for the expansion of the Global Technology and Innovation Centre of the Hitachi group at Porur, Chennai, and for the expansion of the production project of Hitachi Energy India at Chengalpattu, envisaging an investment of Rs. 1,000 crore and the creation of an additional 1,000 high-quality technology jobs over the next 3 to 5 years.
