TN Electricity Regulatory Commission Invites Applications for Chairman, Two Member Posts

PRESS RELEASE Under the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003, the Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission has been constituted as a statutory commission by the Government of Tamil Nadu. In this Commission, the post of Chairperson has been vacant since 19.06.2026, the post of Member (Law) has been vacant since 09.03.2026, and the post of Member has been vacant since 01.06.2026. To fill these three posts, the Government of Tamil Nadu has constituted a Selection Committee headed by Justice R.M.T. Teekaaraman (Retd.), former Judge of the Madras High Court, with the Chief Secretary to Government and the Chairperson of the Central Electricity Authority as members. As per the decision taken at the Selection Committee meeting held on 07.07.2026, applications are invited separately for each of the posts of Chairperson, Member and Member (Law) of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission, up to 6.00 p.m. on 28.07.2026.
