CM Orders Relief, Rescue Coordination After Vietnam Boat Accident Kills Tamil Tourists

Social Media Message Issued by Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru. C. Joseph Vijay, Conveying Condolences to the Families of Those Who Died in a Tourist Boat Accident in Vietnam, and Ordering that Necessary Assistance be Provided to Those Affected I was deeply pained and saddened to learn that tourists from Tamil Nadu and other Indian states lost their lives this morning when a boat carrying Indian tourists visiting Hon May Rut Ngoai island in the Ha Long sea area of Vietnam met with an accident. I have ordered Tamil Nadu Government officials to obtain the details of Tamils affected by this boat accident and to provide them with all necessary assistance, in coordination with Tamil Nadu House in New Delhi, the Ministry of External Affairs of India, and senior officials of the Indian Embassy in Vietnam, and to carry out rescue operations. I have ordered Tamil Nadu Government officials to work in coordination with senior officials of the Indian Embassy to provide the necessary medical assistance to those affected by this accident. I have further ordered that steps be taken through the Indian Embassy to bring the bodies of those who died in this incident back to Tamil Nadu at the earliest.
