TN Opens Applications for BNYS Yoga and Naturopathy Degree Admissions 2026-27

PRESS RELEASE Government of Tamil Nadu Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy Arumbakkam, Chennai – 600 106 Notification for Student Admission to Siddha, Ayurveda, Unani and Homoeopathy Medical Degree Courses for the Academic Year 2026-2027 ➢ Online Applications are invited from eligible candidates (separate applications for each category of seats) for admission to BAMS / BSMS / BUMS / BHMS Medical Degree Courses for the Academic Year 2026-2027, covering all Government Quota seats / seats surrendered to Government, All-India Quota seats and Management Quota seats in all Government and Self-Financing Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy medical colleges in Tamil Nadu. ➢ The relevant Information Brochure for the BAMS / BSMS / BUMS / BHMS Medical Degree Courses can be downloaded from the website "www.tnayushselection.org". ➢ Only Online Applications will be accepted. Applications received through any other mode will not be accepted. ➢ Admission to BAMS / BSMS / BUMS / BHMS Medical Degree Courses will be made solely on the basis of marks obtained in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (NEET-UG) - 2026, conducted by the National Testing Agency. ➢ Eligibility criteria required to apply for student admission, application fee and other fee details, counselling schedule, and other information can be found in the relevant Information Brochure available on the website www.tnayushselection.org. ➢ Before applying, candidates are instructed to read the Information Brochure thoroughly, enter correct information, and upload all original certificates in PDF/JPEG format wherever required. ➢ The application fee, online counselling fee and advance tuition fee must all be paid only through the online payment mode. ➢ Candidates must apply separately for each of the following: Government Quota seats / seats surrendered to Government, All-India Quota seats, and Management Quota seats. ➢ Course Stream: BAMS / BSMS / BUMS / BHMS ➢ Duration of Course: 5½ years ➢ Educational Qualification: 10+2 (with pass in Science subjects) ➢ College Details: • Government Siddha Medical Colleges - 02, Seats - 160 • Government Ayurveda Medical College - 01, Seats - 60 • Government Unani Medical College - 01, Seats - 60 • Government Homoeopathy Medical College - 01, Seats - 50 • Self-Financing Siddha Medical Colleges - 13, Seats - 820 • Self-Financing Ayurveda Medical Colleges - 05, Seats - 270 • Self-Financing Homoeopathy Medical Colleges - 11, Seats - 820 ➢ Allocation of seats in Self-Financing Medical Colleges: Government Quota, All-India Quota and Management Quota. ➢ Online Application Fee: Government Quota seats - OC, BC, BCM, MBC/DNC categories: Rs. 500/- SC, SCA & ST categories: Exempted All-India Quota seats (all categories): Rs. 1000/- Management Quota seats (all categories): Rs. 1000/- ➢ Candidates applying under Special Category must pay an additional fee of Rs. 100/- for each special category applied for. ➢ Only candidates wishing to apply under the Government Special Category quota must, after applying online, download the application, attach self-attested copies of all the certificates called for, and submit / hand-deliver them to "The Secretary, Selection Committee, Office of the Director, Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy Department, Arignar Anna Government Hospital of Indian Medicine Campus, Arumbakkam, Chennai-600 106" by 5.00 p.m. on 31.07.2026. ➢ For candidates who apply under the Government Special Category quota, counselling will be conducted only in person, and candidates must travel at their own expense.
