Admissions Open for Five-Year Integrated Tamil PG Programme at World Tamil Research Institute

PRESS RELEASE International Institute of Tamil Studies Student Admissions for the Year 2026 - Announcement Recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu, the International Institute of Tamil Studies at Taramani, Chennai, conducts the scholarship-supported Five-Year Integrated Postgraduate M.A. in Tamil and the M.A. in Tamil (affiliated to Tamil University, Thanjavur). The International Institute of Tamil Studies, established by the Government of Tamil Nadu for the development of the Tamil language, has continuously carried out various teaching and research activities for many years. Affiliated to Tamil University, the M.A. in Tamil, the Five-Year Integrated Postgraduate M.A. in Tamil, and the Ph.D. programme in Tamil are conducted annually at this institute. Accordingly, admissions for the Five-Year Integrated M.A. in Tamil programme for the academic year 2026-27 are now to be held. Those wishing to pursue the above courses may download the admission rules/information and the application form from the website www.ulakaththamizh.in, or obtain them in person. Among the students admitted to these classes, 15 students will be given a monthly scholarship of Rs.2000/- by the Government of Tamil Nadu, based on merit. Separate free hostel and food facilities are available for both genders.
