For the First Time in History, Promotion Orders Issued to 300 Engineers Simultaneously on the Orders of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, under the Guidance of Hon'ble Minister for Energy, Natural Resources and Law Thiru. C.D.R. Nirmal Kumar, with Full Transparency - Electricity Board Engineers Express Joy Under the honest, corruption-free and transparent administration of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru. C. Joseph Vijay, and under the guidance of Hon'ble Minister for Energy, Natural Resources and Law Thiru. C.D.R. Nirmal Kumar, promotion orders as Executive Engineers were issued to 300 Assistant Executive Engineers (Electrical), out of 379 eligible engineers who joined service as Assistant Engineers (Electrical) between 2000 and 2002, as the first phase. Promotions have been granted transparently to eligible engineers, both to fill vacant posts in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board in response to requests from various categories of engineers, and to resolve long-pending promotion issues. Accordingly, the granting of promotions on such a large scale for the first time in history is regarded as a landmark event in the history of the Electricity Board. All these promotions have been granted with full transparency, based on merit and Board rules. The genuine demand of engineers who had long awaited promotion has been resolved through the earnest action of the Hon'ble Minister for Energy, Natural Resources and Law. Electricity Board engineers and staff have expressed their joy and gratitude for this action, taken as a continuation of the Government's approach, under the leadership of the Hon'ble Chief Minister, towards the welfare of employees.
