Review meeting of District Revenue Officers held under the chairmanship of Hon'ble Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management Thiru K.A. Sengottaiyan A review meeting of District Revenue Officers on the progress of work in the Revenue Department was held today (09.06.2026) at the State Emergency Operations Centre, Ezhilagam, Chennai, chaired by the Hon'ble Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management Thiru K.A. Sengottaiyan. At the meeting, the Minister released the booklet on the Tamil Nadu State Heat Action Plan 2026. In view of the increasing heat wave risks in Tamil Nadu, the State Heat Action Plan 2026 has been prepared. Under this plan, heat vulnerability and risk assessment has been carried out at the village level in rural areas and at the ward level in corporation areas; an early warning system for heat waves has been established; a State- and district-level institutional coordination framework has been set up; relevant key departments have been identified; district and city-level heat action plan committees have been formed in all districts and corporations; public awareness and outreach activities have been planned; and department-wise preparedness and response action plans have been prepared.
