Rajya Sabha Bye-Election: Praveen Chakravarthy's Nomination Declared Valid

PRESS RELEASE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY SECRETARIAT Nomination papers filed for the bye-election to be held in June 2026, to elect one member to the Council of States by the elected members of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly acting as the electoral college, were taken up for scrutiny today (09.06.2026). After scrutiny, the nomination paper filed by Thiru Praveen Chakravarthy of the Indian National Congress was declared valid.
