Lokesh Thamizhselvan orders that the market guideline value be ensured for all land survey numbers by the end of this month The first review meeting on the performance of all District Registration Department heads, all Assistant Inspectors General of Registration, all District Registrars (Administration and Audit), and Assistant Executive Engineers was held today (09-06-2026) at the conference hall of the 160-year-old heritage District Registrar office building on Rajaji Salai, Chennai, chaired by the Hon'ble Minister for Commercial Taxes and Registration Thiru T. Lokesh Thamizhselvan, in the presence of Secretary, Commercial Taxes, Registration and Charitable Endowments Department, Thiru J. Kumaraguruparan, IAS, and Inspector General of Registration Thiru G.K. Arun Sundar Dayalan, IAS. At the meeting, the Minister directed officials to treat members of the public visiting for registration with courtesy, to seat them properly in the office, to fully address their needs, to return same-day completed documents to the public without delay, to patiently and promptly clarify any doubts they may have regarding registration, and to function in a manner that gives no scope for complaints.
