PRESS RELEASE Public Distribution System Grievance Redressal Camp to be held on 13.06.2026 across 19 zones in Chennai To enable citizens to easily avail the benefits of the Public Distribution System, the Government has announced that a public grievance redressal camp will be held every month in each taluk across Tamil Nadu. Accordingly, the monthly Public Distribution System grievance redressal camp for June 2026 will be held on 13.06.2026 from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM at the 19 Zonal Assistant Commissioner offices of the Food, Cooperation and Consumer Protection Department in Chennai. Services relating to the Public Distribution System, such as adding or removing names in ration cards, address changes, and registration/change of mobile numbers, will be undertaken. Authorisation certificates will also be issued to senior citizens and others who are unable to visit ration shops in person to collect goods. If members of the public have complaints regarding the functioning of ration shops or deficiencies in goods or services sold in the open market, they can raise these at the camp, and prompt action will be taken to resolve them. As services will be processed through an OTP sent to the registered mobile number, ration card holders must bring their registered mobile phone when contacting the zonal office.
