Mathan Raja reviews progress of Government schemes in the MSME sector A review meeting on Government schemes related to the department and on achieving targets under each scheme was held today, 10.06.2026, at the Chennai Guindy SIDCO office conference hall, chaired by the Hon'ble Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Thiru Se. Mathan Raja, with District Industries Centre General Managers. The Minister stated that identifying a larger number of beneficiaries and creating more entrepreneurs than last year should be our achievement, and that awareness meetings should be held continuously in each district. He specifically directed that more loans be given to differently-abled persons, women, Adi Dravidars and tribal communities, and stated that creating maximum employment opportunities for youth through existing schemes — the New Entrepreneur-cum-Enterprise Development Scheme, the Scheme for Rural Youth Self-Employment, the Regularisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme, and the Regularisation of Micro Enterprises Scheme — should be our Government's achievement. He further stated that swift action must be taken to achieve the targets of all schemes by December this year, and that all enterprises which have already signed MoUs must be facilitated to commence production.
