As per the guidance of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru C. Joseph Vijay, a review meeting on the works of the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board was held today (11.06.2026) at the Board's head office, chaired by the Hon'ble Minister for Housing and Urban Development Thiru P. Rajkumar and in the presence of Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board Thiru Kumara Prakrishnan.
The Hon'ble Minister for Housing and Urban Development Thiru P. Rajkumar stated that the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board is constructing 7,179 flats worth Rs. 1,230.42 crore across 21 project sites in Chennai, and 21,372 flats worth Rs. 2,535.82 crore across 39 project sites in other districts - a total of 28,551 flats worth Rs. 3,766.24 crore across 60 project sites.
Under the Asian Development Bank project, 5,457 flats worth Rs. 1,030 crore are being constructed across 6 project sites. Renovation works worth Rs. 210 crore are underway at 215 project sites under the renovation scheme. He stated that instructions have been given to ensure that flats being constructed for economically weaker sections are delivered with good quality, durability, and in a timely manner.
