CM Extends Full Crop Loan Waiver to Cover Loans up to Rs 75,000, Benefiting 14.4 Lakh Farmers Worth Rs 5,932 Crore

PRESS RELEASE Cooperative Bank Crop Loan Waiver - Full waiver up to Rs.75,000/- for farmers; 100 percent waiver for marginal, small and other bigger farmers. On 25.05.2026, an announcement was made waiving crop loans in full for marginal and small farmers who had availed crop loans up to Rs.50,000, and the crop loan waiver scheme was announced. As per the orders of the Hon'ble Chief Minister, a review meeting was held on 15.06.2026 to re-examine the above crop loan waiver scheme. At this review meeting, it was announced by the Government that approximately Rs.5,932.23 crore in crop loan waiver would be extended to 14.43 lakh farmers who had availed crop loans between 01.05.2025 and 28.02.2026. As per the revised orders, crop loans up to Rs.75,000 availed by marginal, small and other bigger farmers will be waived in full (100 percent). For those who had availed crop loans above Rs.75,000, relief will be provided through a waiver of up to Rs.35,000. Accordingly, loans up to Rs.75,000 will be waived in full, and for loans above Rs.75,000, up to Rs.35,000 will be waived.
