As per the orders of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru C. Joseph Vijay, the Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered that, in order to meet the drinking water needs of the public and livestock of Tharapuram Municipality, water be released into the Amaravathi River through the river sluice from the Amaravathi Dam in Tiruppur District, for 4 days from 19.06.2026 to 23.06.2026, not exceeding 224.64 million cubic feet.
