Government Arts and Science Colleges Open First-Year UG Admissions for 2026-27

Directorate of Collegiate Education, Chennai – 600 015, Tamil Nadu Government Arts and Science College Student Admissions Under-Graduate Courses Admission: 2026-2027 Last date for registration of application: 29.05.2026 Applications for admission of First Year Undergraduate students for the academic year 2026-27 in Government Arts and Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu have been under registration at www.tngasa.in since 07.05.2026. For the academic year 2026-2027, there are 126,959 admission seats (Shift-I – 101,022 / Shift-II – 25,937) across 159 subject combinations in the 181 Government Arts and Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu. Candidates may apply online for their preferred subject combinations in their preferred Government Arts and Science Colleges. As of date (up to 12.05.2026), the number of candidates who have applied stands at 89,927. Students who are unable to apply online by themselves may apply through the Admission Facilitation Centres (AFC) available in all Government Arts and Science Colleges. Last date for registration of application: 29.05.2026 Application Fee Details: Application fee is Rs.48/- per student; Registration fee: Rs.2/- only. For SC/ST candidates, there is no application fee; Registration fee: Rs.2/- only. Mode of payment of application fee and registration fee: Can be paid online through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI.
