Increase in the amount for uniforms To enable daily use and hygienic play, the uniform allowance for school students training at the sports hostels and Centres of Excellence has been raised from Rs.6,000/- to Rs.15,000/-, and for college students at the special sports hostels, from Rs.10,000/- to Rs.25,000/-, with the expenditure for this being raised from Rs.1.70 crore to Rs.4.25 crore. Increase in the amount for sports equipment To enhance individual skill, the amount for purchase of sports equipment for specialised training for school students at the sports hostels and Centres of Excellence has been raised from Rs.2,000/- to Rs.10,000/-, with the expenditure for this being raised from Rs.80 lakh to Rs.2.60 crore. An additional Rs.1.80 crore has been allocated for this.
