PRESS RELEASE The Tamil Nadu State Haj Committee, Chennai wishes to notify that Haj Committee of India, Mumbai, has commenced receipt of Haj applications from the Muslims residing in Tamil Nadu and intending to perform Haj pilgrimage during Haj 2027. Applicants can fill online application through Haj Committee of India website i.e. https://hajcommittee.gov.in and the mobile application "HAJ SUVIDHA". The application window will be open from 22.06.2026 to 20.07.2026 (upto 11.59 PM). For Haj 2027, the applicants can submit the Haj Application Form "Free of cost". Applicants must carefully read the Guidelines and Undertaking to ensure their eligibility and upload scanned copies (not photographs) of the following:- a. Front and back pages of machine-readable Indian Passport (1200 x 800 px. JPG/JPEG, 100-500 KB), issued on or before the application closing date and valid up to at least 31.12.2027: b. Passport-size photo with white background (480 x 640 px. JPG/JPEG, 5-20 KB): c. Bank passbook or cancelled cheque (590 x 750 px. JPG/JPEG, 80-250 KB): and d. Address proof (590 x 750 px. JPG/JPEG, 80-250 KB): Like previous year, this year also the selected Haj pilgrims may choose any two Embarkation Points of their choice in order of preference. 2. Haj Committee of India has been implementing the policy of "Haj once in a life time" through Haj Committee of India. The pilgrims are requested to go through the guidelines for Haj 2027 in the Haj Committee of India's website https://hajcommittee.gov.in or the mobile application "HAJ SUVIDHA". Applicants applying for fresh passport are advised that the Surname/last name field must not be left blank. All individuals intending to perform Haj 2027 through the Haj Committee of India are advised to keep funds ready for the 1st installment of Rs.1,52,300/- and ensure the availability of valid passports. 3. The last date for submission of filled in online application forms by the intending applicants is 20.07.2026. Cancellation on any ground except in cases of death or grave medical illness of the pilgrims will attract penalties and may result in financial loss to the applicant. Pilgrims are therefore advised to apply only after careful consideration of the preparedness and commitments to undertake the pilgrimage.
