PRESS RELEASE The Hon'ble Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Thiru P. Vengadaramanan inaugurated a free medical camp and education-promotion event for students, teachers and parents held on 24.06.2026 at CSI Middle School, Mylapore. The event was jointly organised by the Larsen & Toubro Group Cooperative Thrift and Credit Society, Wells Medical College and Hospital, and CSI Middle School, Mylapore. At the event, free medical examinations were provided to students, teachers and parents, including checks for ear, nose and throat, diabetes, blood pressure and skin conditions, along with other general medical check-ups and health-awareness counselling. The Hon'ble Minister also distributed sports uniforms to students. He subsequently advised the students on the importance of education, the value of good conduct, developing individual talents, and maintaining good health. He further emphasised that he would always stand by the people of his constituency and the people of Tamil Nadu, and stressed that public service was his foremost objective. The event concluded successfully as a special social welfare initiative that brought healthcare, education and social welfare to the people under one roof. The event was attended by officials of the Larsen & Toubro Group Cooperative Thrift and Credit Society, doctors from Wells Medical College and Hospital, and teachers and parents of CSI Middle School.
