PRESS RELEASE As per the orders of Hon'ble Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thiru C. Joseph Vijay, the Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered the release of water from the Parur Periya Eri in Pochampalli Taluk, Krishnagiri District, into the eastern and western main channels of the tank for irrigation, for the first crop (Mudhu Pokku) cultivation covering 2397 acres. Water will be released for the first five days for nursery/seedling purposes, followed by rotational irrigation with the sluice kept open for 3 days and closed for 4 days, at the rate of 6.00 million cubic feet per day, from 16.07.2026 to 22.11.2026, for 130 days, subject to inflow and storage, not exceeding a total of 361.00 million cubic feet. 2.
