Hon'ble Tamil Nadu Ministers participate in "Bharat Tex 2026" international textile fair and conference - hold discussions with entrepreneurs and industrial investors At Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, "Bharat Tex 2026," the international textile fair and conference organised by the Union Ministry of Textiles, is being held from 14th to 17th July. The conference was jointly inaugurated by Hon'ble Union Minister for Textiles Thiru Giriraj Singh, Hon'ble Minister for Industries and Investment Promotion Selvi S. Keerthana, and Hon'ble Minister for Handlooms, Textiles and Khadi Thiru M. Vijay Balaji. At the event, Hon'ble Minister for Industries and Investment Promotion of the Government of Tamil Nadu Selvi S. Keerthana, Hon'ble Minister for Handlooms, Textiles and Khadi Thiru M. Vijay Balaji, and Principal Secretary, Handlooms, Handicrafts, Textiles and Khadi Department, Thiru Thi. N. Venkatesh, IAS, visited the Handloom, Textiles, Khadi and SIPCOT pavilions set up at the Tamil Nadu stall. As part of the exhibition, at an extensive discussion session organised to attract major investors interested in investing in Tamil Nadu, the Hon'ble Ministers, the Principal Secretary and officials from various departments of the Government of Tamil Nadu participated. At the subsequent discussion with entrepreneurs and industrial investors, detailed presentations were made on investment opportunities prevailing in Tamil Nadu's textile and apparel sector, industrial infrastructure facilities, export promotion, value-added manufacturing, skill development, and the Government's various initiatives to attract new entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs were also briefed on the industry-friendly policy environment of Tamil Nadu, its world-class skilled workforce, and the swift administrative support extended to investors. Through this event, it was conveyed to entrepreneurs and industrial investors that Tamil Nadu stands as a leading State in textile and apparel manufacturing, and highlighted the State Government's investor-friendly policies, improved infrastructure facilities, and industry-conducive environment aimed at attracting new industrial investment.
