Chief Minister Congratulates Tamil Film Industry on Winning 10 National Film Awards

Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru C. Joseph Vijay felicitates Tamil cinema artistes who won National Film Awards. The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru C. Joseph Vijay, has conveyed his appreciation and greetings to Tamil cinema personalities who achieved the distinction of winning 10 National Film Awards across various categories. The 72nd National Film Awards, for films released in the year 2024, were announced yesterday. Actor Thiru Dhanush's directorial venture "Raayan", in which he also starred, won the Best Tamil Film award; "Captain Miller" won the award for Best Film Promoting National, Social and Environmental Values; and Thiru Dhanush, who starred in that film, won the Special Jury Award for Best Actor. For "Amaran", Thiru Rajkumar Periyasamy won the Best Director award, Thiru R. Kalaivanan won the Best Editing award, and Thiru G.V. Prakash Kumar won the Best Background Score award. Further, for the film "Maharaja", Thiru Aral Arasu won the Best Stunt Choreography award, and actress Selvi Vaishnavi Namidass, who starred in the film, won the Best Supporting Actress award. Thiru Suresh G won the Special Jury Award for Best Audiography for "Meiyazhagan", and Thiru T.S. Hariharan Sudhan won the Best Sound Design award for the short film "Blue".
