PRESS RELEASE As per the orders of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru C. Joseph Vijay, taking into account the current water storage in the Kelavarappalli Reservoir, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District, the Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered that water be released, subject to inflow and availability, in the right and left bank irrigation canals for seasonal "Punjai" (dry) crop cultivation from 25.07.2026 to 21.11.2026, for a total of 120 days for the first crop, on a rotational basis — 5 days of release for the first zone and 5 days for the second zone, i.e., a total of 10 days of release followed by 5 days of closure — at the rate of 76.23 million cubic feet per turn across 8 turns, not exceeding a total of 609.84 million cubic feet. 2.
