Joseph Vijay I am deeply saddened and grieved to learn of the tragic news that Thiru Ramprakash (aged 32), S/o. Ravindran; Thiru Ramachandran (aged 40), S/o. Ravindran; Thiru Innasimuthu (aged 44), S/o. Singaraj — all from the locality — and Thiru Panditurai (aged 35), S/o. Mariappan, from Naranapuram, lost their lives in an unforeseen explosion yesterday morning (26.07.2026) at a fireworks unit operating without proper licence on privately owned land at Sengamalapatti, Sivakasi Taluk, Virudhunagar District. I convey my deepest condolences and sympathies to the families and relatives of those who lost their lives in this accident, and I have ordered that a sum of Rs. 4 lakh each be paid to the families of the deceased from the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.
