CM Joseph Vijay inspects Chennai Metro Phase-I and Phase-II works, takes driverless train trial ride

Joseph Vijay inspects Chennai Metro Rail stations The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu personally inspected works relating to Phase-I and Phase-II of the Chennai Metro Rail project. During the visit, the functioning of the Operation Control Centre at the metro stations, and improvements to Last Mile Connectivity facilities, were reviewed. The Hon'ble Chief Minister inspected ongoing construction works at stations under Phase-I and Phase-II, including bridge works using the Balanced Cantilever method, and directed officials to complete the works within the stipulated timeframe. The Unattended Train Operation (UTO) technology to be deployed at stations under Phase-II was also explained during the visit. Hon'ble Ministers, the Managing Director of Chennai Metro Rail Limited, and senior officials accompanied the Chief Minister during the inspection.
