Press Note regarding fixing of charges for Vehicle Location Tracking Devices (VLTD) fitted in public transport and other applicable vehicles Based on complaints received from vehicle owners that varying and excess charges are being collected in different places for Vehicle Location Tracking Devices (VLTD) fitted in public transport and other applicable vehicles in Tamil Nadu, a consultation meeting was held on 13.07.2026 at the Secretariat with all accredited VLTD manufacturers, chaired by the Hon'ble Minister for Transport, Thiru.
