The Managing Director of TAHDCO (Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation), Thiru K.S. Kandhasamy, IAS, has stated that on behalf of the Social Justice Department, an opportunity will be provided through TAHDCO to start new enterprises at TAHDCO industrial estates in Erode and Tiruppur districts, with the objective of turning members of the Adi Dravidar and tribal communities into entrepreneurs.
With the objective of turning Adi Dravidar and tribal people into entrepreneurs, the Government has planned to allot industrial sheds at the TAHDCO industrial estates at Eengur in Erode district and Mudalipalayam in Tiruppur district to beneficiaries on lease and rental basis.
At these industrial estates, renovation works with basic amenities worth Rs.50 crore, and works to set up Plug & Play Industrial Sheds worth Rs.115 crore, are underway and nearing completion. Further, as the first phase, works to set up modern Plug & Play Industrial Sheds covering 50,000 square feet each at the Eengur and Mudalipalayam industrial estates are currently underway and nearing completion.
Under this scheme, keeping in mind micro, small and large entrepreneurs, the Government has come forward to allot, on a long-term lease and rental basis according to their requirements, either vacant plots or ready-to-use (plug & play) industrial sheds to beneficiaries, on rental and lease terms. Through this scheme, Adi Dravidar and tribal entrepreneurs who wish to obtain industrial sheds under either of the above methods to facilitate setting up their enterprises may register on the TAHDCO website (www.tahdco.com); the TAHDCO Managing Director, Thiru K.S.
