Special eKYC camps at all TN ration shops on August 8-9 to complete Aadhaar linking

PRESS RELEASE Special eKYC camp to be held at all Fair Price Shops across Tamil Nadu on two days, 08.08.2026 and 09.08.2026 As per the National Food Security Act, 2013, the Union Government has directed that fingerprint-based verification (eKYC) be carried out for all beneficiaries linked to electronic family cards, in order to verify the Aadhaar details of Priority Household and Antyodaya Anna Yojana family cards. Accordingly, family members have been advised to complete this process without any inconvenience, and fingerprint verification (eKYC) of family members has been ongoing since October 2023. As per the current status, eKYC has been completed for 95.86% of Priority Household cards. In order to achieve 100% completion of this eKYC registration, a special camp will be held at all Fair Price Shops across Tamil Nadu on 08.08.2026 and 09.08.2026, from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Therefore, family cardholders who have not yet completed fingerprint (eKYC) registration at Fair Price Shops are requested to make use of the special camp being held at all Fair Price Shops across the state on the two days, 08.08.2026 and 09.08.2026, to complete their eKYC registration.
