Inauguration of new dwelling units of the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board Under the Housing for All scheme of the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board, under the redevelopment scheme in Chennai district, 500 new multi-storeyed dwelling units built at Gandhi Nagar scheme area at a cost of Rs.85.55 crore; 1,152 multi-storeyed dwelling units built at Poochi Athipedu scheme area, Tiruvallur district, at a cost of Rs.156.14 crore; 516 multi-storeyed dwelling units built at Modhur scheme area, Erode district, at a cost of Rs.45.46 crore, and 384 multi-storeyed dwelling units built at Odaiyakavundanpalayam scheme area at a cost of Rs.40.52 crore; 528 multi-storeyed dwelling units built at Athiyamankottai Nallampalli scheme area, Dharmapuri district, at a cost of Rs.57.67 crore; 528 multi-storeyed dwelling units built at Sarangammal Sathiram scheme area, Pudukkottai district, at a cost of Rs.60.19 crore; 336 multi-storeyed dwelling units built at Uthamapuram scheme area, Theni district, at a cost of Rs.39.14 crore; 164 multi-storeyed dwelling units built at Naduhatti scheme area, The Nilgiris district, at a cost of Rs.22.16 crore, and 152 multi-storeyed dwelling units built at Perangadu scheme area at a cost of Rs.18.92 crore; Thus, a total of 4,260 newly-built multi-storeyed dwelling units, built at a cost of Rs.525.75 crore across 9 scheme areas, were inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Each of these new dwelling units has an area of 400 square feet and is built with a multi-purpose room, bedroom, kitchen and toilet. Further, all housing complexes have been built with tarred road facility, drinking water facility, sewerage facility and rainwater harvesting structure. This bus shelter has been provided with facilities such as a waiting room seating 45 persons, a nursing room for mothers, purified drinking water, modern CCTV cameras, and separate toilets for men and women.
