REGISTRATION DEPARTMENT Presenceless Registration – Consultative Meeting to Address Concerns and Explain the Procedure Various reforms are being undertaken in the Tamil Nadu Registration Department with the aim of enhancing transparency and public convenience. As part of this initiative, the first sale of flats and plots (1st Sale) is planned to be made compulsorily through "Presenceless Registration" from 17.08.2026 onward. Other document registrations will also be brought under this system in future. To address the doubts of promoters, bankers, and financial institutions regarding this new procedure, and to explain the presenceless registration process through a live demonstration, a large-scale training and consultation meeting has been arranged to be held on 14.08.2026 at 11.00 a.m., under the chairmanship of the Hon'ble Minister for Commercial Taxes and Registration, at the Corporation Kalai Arangam, E.T.V. Swamy Road, R.S. Puram, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu – 641002. Therefore, builders, representatives of the Builders' Association of India (BAI), CREDAI, bankers, and financial institutions are requested to participate in this meeting to clarify their doubts, and to extend their complete cooperation by offering their views, suggestions, and recommendations for the successful implementation of this scheme.
