I was deeply saddened and pained to learn that Nivas (aged 13), son of the late Narayanasamy, a boy from Indira Colony, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District, who had been admitted to the Periyakulam Government Headquarters Hospital on 3.06.2026 for treatment of a growth in his nose, and was subsequently receiving treatment in a comatose state in the Intensive Care Unit of the Theni Government Medical College Hospital for further treatment, passed away despite treatment on 10.08.2026.
I convey my deepest condolences and sympathies to the family and relatives of the boy who passed away in this incident, and I have ordered that a sum of Rupees Three Lakh be given to his family from the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.
