Joseph Vijay Inaugurated Buildings Constructed at a Cost of Rs. 23.67 Crore for Devotees at Arulmigu Mariamman Temple, Irukkankudi, Virudhunagar District, and Handed Over Appointment Orders to 80 Candidates Selected for Assistant Engineer (Civil), Assistant Sthapathi, and Executive Officer Posts in the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru S. Joseph Vijay today (18.08.2026) inaugurated at the Secretariat the tonsure mandapam, annadhanam hall, 24 dining mandapams, and 235 pooja material shops constructed at a cost of Rs. 23.67 crore at Arulmigu Mariamman Temple, Irukkankudi in Virudhunagar district on behalf of the HR&CE Department. Furthermore, he presented appointment orders to 80 personnel selected through TNPSC for the posts of Assistant Engineer (Civil - 36), Assistant Sthapathi (38), and Executive Officer (Grade-1 & 3 - 6). This marks the first time that Assistant Engineers (Civil) and Assistant Sthapathis have been directly selected and recruited through TNPSC for the HR&CE Department.
