Press Release No : 552 Date: 18.08.2026 PRESS RELEASE Under a Tamil Nadu Government scheme, a maximum subsidy of up to Rs. 5,000/- per person is provided to Buddhists from Tamil Nadu who participate in and return from the Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Festival held on Vijayadashami at Deekshabhoomi, Nagpur. Applications are invited from Buddhists intending to undertake this pilgrimage and avail benefits in the year 2026. Application forms can be obtained free of charge from the District Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Offices functioning in the District Collectorates. Forms can also be downloaded from the website www.bcmbcmw.tn.gov.in.
