The Revenue Augmentation Committee, chaired by Thiru Montek Singh Ahluwalia to recommend measures for augmenting the State's Own Tax and Non-Tax revenues on a sustainable basis, held a Consultative Meeting on 27.08.2026 at Chennai.
The Chairman noted that sustainable revenue expansion requires widespread stakeholder collaboration, and that ground-level insights and practical experiences shared during the meeting will be examined alongside departmental data.
