Consultation meeting chaired by Hon'ble Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare
Under the able administration of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Hon'ble Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Thiru R. Vinoth, the day after assuming charge as Minister (22.05.2026), personally visited the Directorate of Agriculture at Chepauk to familiarise himself with the functioning of the Agriculture Department. He met officials at the offices of the Agriculture, Horticulture and Hill Crops Departments and, in the presence of Director of Agriculture Dr. K.V. Muralidharan, IAS, personally went to the seats of all technical officials and departmental staff, met them, and consulted on how to guide the Agriculture Department effectively.
He subsequently enquired about central and state government schemes being implemented through the Agriculture Department, their financial allocations, the department's infrastructure, and the state government's special scheme activities.
