TNTrack is committed to protecting contributor privacy. Our platform is architected to operate with minimal data collection and cryptographic contributor protection by default.

What We Collect

When you submit evidence, your user identity is converted into an irreversible cryptographic hash (user_hash). We do not store plaintext names, phone numbers, or IP addresses in submission records. If you reach out to us directly via our email contact channels, we receive and retain the email address and message body provided.

Cookies & Local Storage

TNTrack does not set HTTP cookies, run commercial advertising scripts, or employ third-party behavioral trackers. We strictly use client-side local storage (localStorage) solely to persist your UI language preference (tntrack_lang) and your recent search terms (tntrack_recent_searches) locally on your device.

Data Retention

Approved evidence submissions and their non-reversable hashes remain part of the public audit log. If an account is deleted, the user alias and trust history are removed, and historical submissions are anonymized under a [deleted] tag. Contact emails are retained only as long as necessary for editorial correspondence.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to or deletion of any personal correspondence or account metadata associated with you. Please submit requests to [email protected] or [email protected].

Children's Privacy

TNTrack is a civic reference application not directed at individuals under 18 years of age, and does not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

Changes to this Policy

Any future revisions to this privacy policy will be posted directly on this page alongside an updated revision date.

Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act 2023) framework.
